Position SummaryThe Production Planner and Scheduler plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle.
Responsibilities

• Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements
• Review orders for material issues or constraints
• Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule
• Support purchasing by monitoring and systemically adjusting on hand inventory
• Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking
• Notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers
• Coordinate and expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved
• Complete status reports, such as production progress, customer information and materials inventory
• Involvement with SIOP as needed.
• Support monthly On Time Delivery (OTD) roll-upRequirements:
  • Degree preferred or 3-5 years' experience in production and processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Ability to interact well with internal and external customers
  • Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills in decision making
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient use of computer systems and software applications
