    • Job Details
    • We are seeking a Cardiac Sonographer.
    • The Cardiac Sonographer independently performs professional level assessments and a variety of non-invasive studies using ultrasound and related diagnostic technology as appropriate.
    • The results of these exams are used to direct the course of patient care.
    • The sonographer uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic disease processes.
    • The sonographer assists with transthoracic echo, transesophageal and stress testing; dobutamine, treadmill exercise stress echo and carotid duplex.
    • The sonographer communicates preliminary impressions of examination results to reading and supervising physicians.
    • Examinations are performed within standard protocols on adults and geriatric patients, and occasionally on adolescents and pediatric age groups.
    • The sonographer performs examinations using both stationary and portable equipment.
    • The sonographer serves as a clinical instructor for the UW School of Ultrasound, instructing fellows, residents, and visiting physicians.
    • The sonographer may participate in clinical research and act as a clinical resource to staff at their own facility and throughout the system.
      • Job Requirements
      • Minimum one-year cardiac experience required.
      • Successful completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) approved ultrasound program, Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field.
        • Schedule Information
        • 40 hours/week, Days, 8 hour variable shifts, Monday - Friday.
        • Start time will vary from 7:00am - 9:00am.
        • Occasional Saturday or Sunday may be assigned based on operational need.
          • Additional Details
          • Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location.
          • During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
