Job SummaryThe Prepared Foods Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting food items in the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars. This role ensures the quality and consistency of prepared items, maintains a clean and sanitary working environment, and provides excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepares food items according to production sheets and recipes, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Food Presentation: Ensures that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment, adhering to WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
• Customer Service: Provides excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
• Inventory Management: Monitors food levels and replenishes in a timely manner.Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 6-12 months retail experience preferred.
  • Skills: Thorough product knowledge, ability to follow a recipe, and good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques.Working Conditions
    • Lifting: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
    • Standing/Walking: Standing/walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
    • Environmental Conditions: Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
