Job Description:
A company is looking for a Remote Orthopedic Surgery Coder.
Key Responsibilities
Review documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and
apply appropriate CPT, Modifiers, and ICD-10 codes
Accurately code conditions and procedures in accordance with AMA
CPT guidelines and ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines
Support coding manager in coding, billing, internal and external
reporting, and regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or 5+ years of Orthopedic Coding experience
in lieu of diploma/GED
3 years of coding experience in Orthopedic surgical procedures and
podiatry in both inpatient and outpatient settings
CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification from AAPC
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Must maintain certification throughout employment
